Disks' Checksum Mismatch for Virtual Machines Recovered using Cyber Recovery

Issue/Introduction

• You resize the VM disk on the Protected site
• Next, you execute a VM recovery through Cyber Recovery.
• The checksum for the recovered VM disks might not match the checksum of the original VM disks.

Environment

Protection & Recovery 9.1.x.x or later

Resolution

A manual synchronization of the VM is necessary if a disk resize occurred recently (within the RPO) and you intend to perform a Cyber Recovery.

1. Go to the Replications tab and choose either Outgoing or Incoming, depending on your site.
2. Identify and select the virtual machine that needs to be synchronized.
3. In the action bar, click the Sync Now (or Synchronize Now) button.
