Issue/Introduction

From a pure monitoring perspective, not all users need to see or have access to issue a sendevent while searching and reviewing job definitions in Quick View.

 How can I hide or remove the ‘sendevent’ drop-down in Quick View from specific users and/or groups?

Log into the WCC0004 EEM application as EiamAdmin and select Manage Access Policies tab.

  1.  1. Identify the users and/or groups that will require the ability to issue sendevent commands from Quick View vs. user and/or groups that will be restricted.
  2. 2. Select the Access Policy named ConfigurationControl. 
  3. 3. Locate and disable ConfigurationControlEventDefault policy. 
  4. 4. Create an all access Quick View sendevent policy for users / groups: 
  5.      a. Select the icon to the left of ConfigurationControl

  1.      b. Add all applicable data such as Folder Name, Users and Groups that will be granted the sendevent ability from Quick View, and the Resource.
  2.      c. Save the changes.

NOTES:

Resource entry must be as follows: */Event

By default All Actions are enabled

         Here is an example granting all users within the Commander Application Group, access to the sendevent drop-down within a Quick View job search:

  1. 5. Repeat step #4 above except this new policy will denote the restrictive ConfigurationControlEvent.
  2.   The default list of actions is set to All Actions. You must select/check the following: Create, Delete, Save. Ensure Access is unchecked.
  3. Save the changes.

   Here is an example restricting all users within the ConsoleOperator Application Group, no access to the sendevent drop-down within a Quick View job search. Observe    there is no sendevent drop-down control under the Search Results.
