Issue/Introduction

VSEs are not loading or displaying services in the DevTest Portal. The following error may be observed in the logs when you try to hit the services:

ERROR com.itko.lisa.vse.http.Endpoint - The requested URL /jre is invalid and not found on this server

Additionally, even after restarts of IAM, Enterprise Dashboard, Registry, Portal, and VSE, the Virtual services still do not appear in the Portal view.

Environment

All supported DevTest versions.

Cause

This issue is often caused by persistent filters within the DevTest Portal. Specifically, filters applied to the Resource Type (such as VSM names or Port searches) may persist in the browser cache or UI session. When a filter is active but does not match any services on a specific VSE, the Portal may appear as if the VSE is not loading or is empty.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, clear the active filters in the DevTest Portal:

  1. Log into the DevTest Portal.
  2. Navigate to the Monitor > VSEs section.
  3. Locate the Resource Type filter or any active search criteria in the filter bar.
  4. Click the Reset or Clear button to remove all active filters.
  5. Refresh the page to confirm that the VSE and its associated services are now visible.

Note: DevTest Portal filters are intended to persist until manually cleared or until the browser cache is emptied. Always verify if a filter icon is active when services appear to be missing.
