Cannot migrate VM's : "Facing SSL related issue while communicating with the remote site"

Issue/Introduction

• Unable to migrate VMs using HCX with message "Facing SSL related issue while communicating with the remote site"|.
  
  
  
  
• HCX Site Pairing is down and it shows the error message below.
  Host name '<HCX-Cloud_IP>' does not match the certificate subject provided by the peer (CN=hcx.sddc-###-###.vmwarevmc.com, O="VMware, Inc", L=Palo Alto, ST=California, C=US)


• This issue is not specific to VMware Cloud on AWS and may occur in any HCX environment.
• The HCX Site Pairing is configured using an IP address in the "Remote HCX URL" field.

Cause

Remote HCX Manager's SSL certificate was recently renewed, so the source HCX Manager was still looking for the old certificate and dropped the connection.

Resolution

• Removed the old HCX Cloud expired certificate from HCX-on-prem.
• Manually imported the HCX Cloud certificate following HCX Site Pairing is disconnected.
