Add action gets the error SMRG007E - error reading delta member - premature end of file.

Issue/Introduction

Problem:

During an add action the site began to get the error: SMGR007E ERROR READING DELTA MEMBER -  PREMATURE END OF FILE <file name>. They are also unable to copy the file using IBM utilities

Resolution:

The PDS file is corrupted. Try repairing the file using MVS utilities.  If you are not able to repair file, you will need to restore to last good backup. If you can locate a recent backup and restore the delta file, you will need to run a Validate action (Utilities Guide, Unload, Reload, Validate Utility). The JCL is locate in hlq.iprfx.CSIQJCL(BC1JVALD). Any elements that had been modified between the backup and the problem will need to be deleted. If you have an unload, you can transfer from that unload dataset.
