The VCF Operations User Interface (UI) under Global Settings does not provide a widget to configure NO_PROXY exclusions. If your environment requires specific domains, IP, or CIDR blocks to bypass the proxy server for VCF Operations.
VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Operations
The current VCF Operations UI design does not include a native field for NO_PROXY configuration.
To manually configure NO_PROXY settings, perform the following steps:
Note: Take a valid snapshot of VCF Operations before implementing the steps
Log in to the VCF Operations appliance via SSH as the root user.
As this is a manual configuration, ensure you have a backup of the original configuration file before making changes.
cp /etc/sysconfig/proxy /etc/sysconfig/proxy_bakEdit the Configuration File: Open the proxy configuration file using vi text editor:
vi /etc/sysconfig/proxyLocate the NO_PROXY variable. Update it to include your required domains, IP address, or CIDR notation.
NO_PROXY="localhost,127.0.0.1,example.com,<CIDR range>/24,<ip-address>"Save the file : To save a file, press Esc and enter below command
