Issue/Introduction

The Broadcom Cloud Console (console.cloud.broadcom.com) displays an "Invalid token" error during the account activation process. This error prevents the user from joining the organization. This article provides the steps to resolve this error and gain access to the organization.

Environment

Broadcom Cloud Console (console.cloud.broadcom.com)

Cause

An "Invalid token" error indicates that the invitation link failed to validate against system records. This typically results from browser session conflicts, cached credentials, or an interrupted registration process.

Resolution

To resolve this issue and access the organization, follow these steps:

  1. Use a Private Browser Session:

    • Open a new Incognito or Private browser window.
    • Copy the invitation link from the email and paste it directly into this private session. This prevents existing browser credentials or cookies from interfering with the activation.
  2. Request an Updated Invitation:

    • If the error persists after using a private browser session, contact the Organization Owner.
    • Have the owner revoke the current pending invitation from the Organization settings and send a new one. Use the new link provided in the email to complete the activation.
  3. Contact Broadcom Global Customer care:

    • If the "Invalid token" error persists, contact Broadcom Global Customer care (GCA).
    • Include HAR Logs: Capture and attach a HAR (HTTP Archive) log from your browser while reproducing the "Invalid token" error.
    • Include the Organization ID and the email address associated with the account in your ticket.
