Issue/Introduction

Unable to upgrade vCenter using the 9.1.0.0xxx service patches
Error:  vCenter upgrade showing - No applicable update found

Environment

vCenter 9.1
vCF 9.1

Cause

When an in-place upgrade is completed from 9.0.x to 9.1, the vm hardware version of the vCenter VM may not automatically upgrade to hardware version 17.

Resolution

Follow kb Manually update the vCenter VM's hardware version in vCenter 9.1 and above if its updated from 9.0 to work around the issue.
