Issue/Introduction

This article provides instructions for applying a full rebuild patch for the Javelin application.

!IMPORTANT This component requires a manual uninstall of the previous version.

Javelin Patching Instructions

 

Phase 1: Preparation & Backups

  1. Backup: Create a backup copy of your current Javelin directory.
    • Default Path: C:\Program Files\Grid-Tools\Javelin
  2. Extract: Unzip Javelin-<build_release>.zip into a temporary folder of your choice.

  3. Removal of Previous Version
    • Open the Windows Control Panel.
    • Navigate to Programs and Features (or "Uninstall a program").
    • Locate Javelin in the list and select Uninstall.

Phase 2: Installation

  1. Run Setup: Right-click setup_Javelin_<build_release>.exe and select Run as Administrator.

  2. Complete Wizard: Follow the on-screen prompts to finish the installation.

Phase 3: Post-Upgrade & Verification

  1. Launch: Restart the Javelin application.

  2. Validate: Retest your specific scenario to confirm the issue is resolved.
