VCF Instance appears in the instance list on the left-hand side but does not appear in the center pane while navigating from Build → Lifecycle → VCF Instances

Issue/Introduction

In VCF Operations 9.1.x, VCF Instance display issue is observed when navigating from Build → Lifecycle → VCF Instances. Instance appears in the instance list on the left-hand side but does not appear in the center pane despite having VCF adapter for that instance in collecting state.

Environment

VCF Operations 9.1.x

Cause

Upon upgrading the VCF instance from version 9.0.x to 9.1.x and not following the mandatory follow-on steps as mentioned in Deploy VCF Management Services, this issue may occur. Until the mandatory steps are performed, sddc-lcm does not exist. Hence, the upgraded instance does not get registered into Fleet LCM and the instance will not appear under Build → Lifecycle → VCF Instances.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, follow the procedure mentioned in the Deploy VCF Management Services guide to deploy VCF Management Services.
