Archive packages added in Admin Console are not visible in Infrastructure Manager

Issue/Introduction

Packages are successfully deployed to a hub archive via the Admin Console (AC) but do not appear in the Infrastructure Manager (IM) archive.  

• Packages are visible in the Admin Console archive view only.
• Packages are not visible when viewing the same hub's archive via Infrastructure Manager.
• This occurs even if the packages are physically present in the \nimsoft\archive folder on the same hub server filesystem.

Environment

• DX Unified Infrastructure Management (UIM) 23.4.x

Cause

The `distsrv` probe indexes the archive file system and stores the inventory in memory.  This occurs when the probe starts and when the distsrv probe edits the archive.  This is what Infrastructure Manager (IM) displays in the hubs archive. When the 'automated_deployment_engine' (ADE) probe adds new packages into the archive folder, the `distsrv` probe is not automatically notified to refresh its inventory. Consequently, the IM archive remains stale until a distsrv probe restart occurs.

Resolution

Restart the `distsrv` probe on the hub to update the Infrastructure Manager archive inventory.

1. Open **Infrastructure Manager** or **Admin Console**.
2. Locate the `distsrv` probe on the hub.
3. Right-click the probe and select **Restart**.
4. After the probe restarts, open the archive to confirm that the expected packages are there.
