Issue/Introduction

A customer is attempting to push Autosys job failure events directly to the Dynatrace API for monitoring and alerting.

Environment

• Autosys Workload Automation (All Versions)
• Dynatrace API

Resolution

Broadcom Support does not provide configuration assistance or troubleshooting for custom integrations between Autosys and third-party APIs such as Dynatrace.

Autosys provides several supported methods for event notification and external integration:

1. ServiceNow Integration: Supported via the Help Desk integration (REST/Mule API).
2. SNMP Traps: Can be configured to send events to any SNMP-compliant manager (e.g., Netcool).
3. Email Notifications: Standard job failure alerts via SMTP.
4. Custom Scripts: Users can utilize the alarm_if_fail attribute to trigger custom scripts, but the script logic itself is the responsibility of the customer.
