Environment

• VMware vCenter Server 9.0 / 9.1

• Windows Server 2019

Cause

Windows Server 2019 is not included in the system requirements for running the vSphere 9.x vCenter Server GUI installer.

Resolution

Starting with vSphere 9.0 and 9.1, the following operating systems are supported for the GUI installer, and Windows Server 2019 is no longer included:

• Windows 11

• Windows Server 2022

• Windows Server 2025

• SUSE 15.6

• Ubuntu 22.04, 24.04

• macOS 13, 14, 15

When running the GUI installer, please use one of the supported operating systems that meet the requirements above.
