Remote developer tools do not open in Web Isolation after CloudSWG migration

Issue/Introduction

After migrating to CloudSWG, the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Alt + Shift + D fails to open remote developer tools for the Threat Isolation browser. Users may find that the dev tools console does not appear when expected in a web isolation session.

Environment

• CloudSWG
• Web Isolation for CloudSWG

Cause

This behavior occurs because the open remote developer tools action is enabled by default under the Block Actions settings in the CloudSWG Isolation Profile.

Resolution

To enable remote developer tools, perform the following steps in the CloudSWG tenant:

1. Log in to the CloudSWG tenant.
2. Navigate to Policy > Object Library.
3. Select the User Defined Objects tab.
4. Click on Isolation Profiles at the bottom of the list.
5. Edit the relevant Isolation Profile.
6. Under the Block Actions section, uncheck open remote developer tools.
7. Click Save.
