Issue/Introduction

• In VMware Cloud Director Tenant Portal, when attempting to import a Virtual Machine from vCenter into an existing vApp, the import process may stall on the "Please wait" screen and fail to complete.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6

Cause

This issue may occur when storage policies are not explicitly assigned to individual virtual disks during the import process.

Resolution

When importing a Virtual Machine from vCenter, explicitly set the Storage Policy for each virtual disk before executing the import.
