MCS profiles stuck in Pending state due to missing ADE dependencies on secondary hubs (UIM 23.4)

Issue/Introduction

• MCS profiles remain in Pending status indefinitely.
• ADE forwarding is enabled.
• ADE logs show E_DEPENDENCY_NOT_FOUND or "Hard dependency ... will not be upgraded" for packages like vs2017-vcredist-x64.
• The main probe package exists in the secondary archive, but dependencies do not.

Environment

• DX UIM 23.4 (up to CU8)
• Multi-hub environment with ADE forwarding.

Cause

A product limitation in the ADE probe forwarding logic. The Primary ADE forwards the requested probe package to the Secondary ADE but does not check if the secondary hub's archive contains the necessary dependencies for that probe.

Resolution

1. Download and deploy the ADE 23.4.8.1 patch (or later) to all Hubs (Primary and Secondary).
2. The patch introduces an availability check: before forwarding a request, the Primary ADE will now verify and push missing dependencies to the secondary ADE's archive.
3. This fix is tentatively scheduled for the UIM 23.4.9 release.

Workaround: Manually import the missing dependency package (e.g., vs2017-vcredist-x64) into the secondary hub's archive.
