Issue/Introduction

Problem:

When applying the CA InterTest for CICS  r 9.1 base product the apply fails with error message GIM54701E ** ALLOCATION FAILED FOR SMP00002 - IKJ56228I DATA SET CICSTS.SDFHLOAD NOT IN CATALOG OR CATALOG CAN NOT BE  ACCESSED.

GIM54601E ** DYNAMIC ALLOCATION FAILED FOR SMP00002 BECAUSE SDFHLOAD IS PART OF THE SMP00002 CONCATENATION BUT WAS NOT ALLOCATED.

Environment:

Z/OS and CICS

Cause:

When the CA InterTest for CICS R 9.1 CSI is initially defined during the base product install you assign the SDFHLOAD DD DEF to point to your CICS SDFHLOAD load library dataset. During the apply SMP/E allocates the SDFHLOAD to link in the CICS load modules into the CA Intertest for CICS modules. If the SDFHLOAD library that you assign to the SDFHLOAD DD DEF does not exist the dataset will fail to allocate. The GIM54701E message points to the dataset that does not exist. In this case CICSTS.SDFHLOAD does not exist. The installer forgot to change the dataset name from the default value shipped with the base install to their SDFH load library.

Please review the install JCL member in the HLQ.SAMPLIB member EKH3CSI and search for SDFHLOAD to see what dataset is associated with the SDFHLOAD.

ADD DDDEF(SDFHLOAD)

     SHR DA(CICSTS.SDFHLOAD).    (default dataset name)

Resolution:

The user needs to update the SDFHLOAD DDDEF in the CSI with the correct CICS SDFHLOAD dataset name.

The client can use the Z/OS SMP CLIST to change - administer the contents of the CSI.
