Issue/Introduction

Recovery plan failing after being stuck on stage 5.1 pre synchronize storage

Error message: Failed to sync data on replica device 'peer-of-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx:SRM:xxxx-xxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxx'. Operation cancelled.

Environment

Live Site Recovery 9.0.2 

Cause

Issue occurs as no protection group is added before recovery plan.

Resolution

Perform the following activities:

• • • 1. Add protection group to environment before running Recovery Plan
    • 2. Navigate to the Array Pairs tab.    Select the array pair corresponding to your storage controller.            Click Discover Devices (or Array Pairs -> Discover Devices).
    • 3. Re-run Recovery plan
