Error: "Error in logging in with user to the vCloud host" while adding a VMware Cloud Director connection in VCF Automation

Issue/Introduction

In VCF Automation (VCFA), adding a connection to VMware Cloud Director (vCD) under Organizations > Access the Org > Orchestrator > Workflows > vCloud Director > Plug-in Configuration > Add a Connection fails during workflow execution.

While direct authentication to the VMware Cloud Director interface using the service account credentials succeeds, the workflow execution terminates with the following log exception:

Error Workflow execution stack: item: 'Add a connection/item1', state: 'failed', business state: 'null', exception: 'Error in logging in with user <username> to the vCloud host https://#####.com:443 (Dynamic Script Module name : addHost#19)' workflow: 'Add a connection'

VCF Automation 9.x

Cause

The Aria Automation Orchestrator Plug-in for Cloud Director is incompatible with VCF Automation 9.x. Because of this interoperability limitation, the underlying script modules (addHost#19) fail to parse and establish API connections between VCFA and vCD.

Resolution

Connecting VMware Cloud Director via the Aria Automation Orchestrator Plug-in is unsupported in VCF Automation 9.x.
