Issue/Introduction

Unable to launch Asset viewer from an Asset page.

Environment

IT Asset Manager 14.1

Cause

This Error occur, if Ams.properties file is not reflecting the correct details of database server,Application server.

Resolution

Step 1 :  Update ams.properties
(Location: C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SharedComponents\AMS\TomCat\webapps\AMS\WEB-INF\classes)
Step 2 :  Update these below variables.
             sql2005.port=1433
             sql2005.password  
             sql2005.host
             sql2005.loginid
             sql2005.databaseName
             itamwebserviceurl=http\://<ITAMApplication server>\:99/ITAMService/Service.asmx
Step 3:  Recycle AMS Services from Windows Services page.

Important Note:  Please contact CA support to generate Encrypted password, and also make sure if there is any "=" symbol place "/"
