Newly Created Management Modules Not Visible in Universe Dropdown Menu

Issue/Introduction

Users are unable to see newly created Management Modules (e.g., "UIA test", "Documentum Test") in the dropdown menu when selecting a Universe in the DX APM SaaS UI

Cause

This is expected behavior. The Universe dropdown menu in the APM UI displays the names of defined Universes, not the names of individual Management Modules. If a Management Module is created but no corresponding Universe exists with that name (or linked to it), it will not appear in the selection list.

Resolution

To make a Management Module accessible via the Universe selection menu, you must create a Universe that includes that module.

1. Log in to the DX APM SaaS console.
2. Navigate to Settings > Manage APM Universes.
3. Click Create New Universe.
4. Provide a Name for the Universe. To match the Management Module, use the same name (e.g., "UIA test").
5. Define the Resources (Metrics) that should be included in this Universe.
6. Link the desired Management Modules to this Universe.
7. Save the Universe configuration.
8. Refresh the APM dashboard. The new name will now appear in the Universe dropdown menu.
