Subscription serial numbers and end dates show different in licenses - VCF Business Console

Issue/Introduction

• Under License Management > Licenses > Version 9+ in the VMware Business Console, some subscription licenses are associated with multiple serial numbers and varying End Dates.
  
  

Environment

• VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.x
• VMware Business Console

Cause

This is the expected behavior when multiple subscriptions have been purchased.
The VCF Business Console aggregates capacity from multiple distinct subscription purchases into a single usable key.
However, the portal must track and display the legal entitlement dates and serial numbers of each original individual contract.

Resolution

The combined license key functions normally with the total aggregated core count.

1. Verify the total core count matches the sum of your active subscriptions.
   
   
2. Review individual line items to see which specific contracts are contributing to the total.
   
   
3. Note that as individual subscriptions expire, the total available capacity will reduce accordingly on the respective expiry dates.
   
   
4. No action is required if the total core count meets your deployment needs.
