Issue/Introduction

 

Question:

You are starting CA GSS with the SYSVIEW System Condition Code (SCM) active for the first time and you got the following error message:

SCM0008E SYNTAX ERROR: 1 MENU OVERVIEW SYSTEM OVERVIEW

SCM9999I  System Condition Monitor has terminated

 

Answer:

The USERID assigned to the GSS STC must be allowed to issue the commands LIBVIEW and PARMLIB in SYSVIEW security, at a minimum, to at least permit

the SYSVIEW SCM to come active in CA GSS.
