When performing a bulk restart of a large number of Virtual Services (e.g., 100 or more) via the DevTest Portal, the user interface becomes unresponsive. Repeated pop-up messages informing the user of the start/stop status of each individual service take several minutes to complete, blocking any further interaction with the Portal until the process finishes.
Product: Service Virtualization
Component: DevTest Portal
Release: 10.8.4, 10.8.4.1
This issue is caused by a product limitation in how the DevTest Portal handles concurrent status notifications for bulk operations. In affected versions, the UI processes each notification synchronously, leading to a "blocking" effect when a high volume of services are managed at once.
This behavior has been addressed in the DevTest 10.8.4.2 service pack. To resolve the issue, customers using Docker-based deployments must pull the updated service pack images from the Broadcom registry.
