Issue/Introduction

Sometimes gpsscli commands are ignored by the gpss process, resulting in the inability to perform status checks and preventing automatic job restarts.

Symptoms:

  • Commands such as gpsscli list --all are not executed or appear to hang.

  • Running jobs ignore their running duration attribute in Greenplum Command Center (GPCC).

Environment

GPSS 1.X

Resolution

To temporarily restore functionality and clear the stuck processes, perform the following workaround:

  1. Cancel all running jobs.

  2. Restart gpss.

Permanent Fix: Issue will be fixed in GPSS release 2.3.3.
