Missing logs for the HCX Interconnect adapter object in VCF Operations

Issue/Introduction

In VCF Operations, when navigating to the Logs tab for an HCX Adaptor (e.g., navigating to HCX → Service Mesh → Interconnect-1 → Logs), the interface appears empty and displays the message: "No data to display."

 

Environment

VCF Operations 9.0.x and later.

Cause

This is an expected system behavior. Log retrieval within the VCF Operations Logs tab requires inventory mapping, which is strictly limited to core infrastructure components. Because adapter objects lack this mapping capability, logs will only populate for Host, vCenter, and Virtual Machine objects.

Resolution

This is expected behavior. By design, the system does not allow you to view logs for Adapter objects on this specific Logs tab.
