"Test" and "Failover" options are unavailable (greyed out) in VMware Cloud Director Availability after a production failover

Issue/Introduction
After performing a production failover of a Virtual Machine (VM) in VMware Cloud Director Availability, users may observe the following:
- The Test and Failover options for the replication are greyed out or unavailable in the VCDA portal.
- The only available lifecycle options are Reverse and Delete.
- The customer may be concerned that selecting "Delete" will remove the live VM from the vCloud environment.
Environment
VMware Cloud Director Availability (VCDA) 4.x
Cause
This is expected behavior. Once a production failover is successfully completed, the replication enters a "Recovered" state. As per the official documentation, the replication is considered finished at the destination site.
In this state:
- Test/Failover are disabled because the VM is already live and running at the destination.
- Reverse is offered to protect the now-live VM back to the source.
- Delete is used to permanently stop the replication tracking when protection is no longer required.
Resolution
If you do not intend to re-establish protection for the VM (for example, if the source VM has been removed or the migration is considered permanent), you must manually stop the replication to clear it from the management interface.
- Log in to the VMware Cloud Director Availability portal.
- Navigate to Incoming Replications.
- Select the recovered replication(s).
- Click Delete.
- Note: This action permanently stops the replication. It removes the replication metadata and the placeholder/tracking files. It does not delete the live Virtual Machine running in the VMware Cloud Director (VCD) inventory.
- Confirm the deletion.
Once deleted, the VM remains as a standalone workload in vCloud Director.
