Receiving DBG01014E MISSPELLED RESERVED WORD OR LITERAL when specifying SUFFIX=0D in the Sysview for Db2 IDDCPRMS member

Issue/Introduction

Specified SUFFIX=0D in Sysview for Db2 for z/OS (IDB2) IDDCPRMS sysparm member (instead of the default 00)
and the following error is encountered when starting the IDB2 Data Collector:

DBG01014E MISSPELLED RESERVED WORD OR LITERAL 

 

 

Resolution

When specifying an alphabetic or alpha-numeric value for the SUFFIX parameter (in this case the alpha-numeric 0D),
the value must be placed within single quotes as such: SUFFIX='0D'
