AutoTrim incorrectly trims jobs within frequency thresholds

Issue/Introduction

In AAI environments using CA7 or other schedulers, the AutoTrim feature may incorrectly prune jobs from a jobstream even when the Run Freq Ratio falls within the configured thresholds.

Specifically, users may observe:

• Jobs with a Run Freq Ratio of 1.0000 (meaning they run at the exact target frequency) are marked as "Trimmed By: Auto".
• These jobs are excluded from the jobstream graph and Gantt view despite not meeting the "repetitive" (>1.5) or "infrequent" (<0.5) thresholds.
• The target job (SLA anchor) itself may sometimes be incorrectly trimmed.

Cause

A defect in the AutoTrim logic (tracked as DE203135) causes the engine to incorrectly flag in-range jobs for automatic trimming. This occurs when the trim status is not properly recalculated after initial evaluation, leading to reduced jobstream visibility and potentially missed failure alerts for critical predecessors.

Resolution

This issue is a confirmed product defect and is scheduled to be resolved in:

• AAI 24.4.2 (Service Pack)
