CA Network Flow Analysis (NetQos / NFA)

Issue/Introduction

Question:

What are Map Failures in Flow Statistics?

Environment:

NFA

Answer:

This can happen if there is a break in flow sequence number from a device greater than 500, or a variance in sysuptime that would connote the device has been reboot.

If we see the above we would put the device in a RebootRefresh state, meaning that we need to SNMP poll the device to verify if there were any interface changes.

During that process we would discard any flows from that device while it is in that state, and it would be reflected in map failures.

This is normal procedure for the application.
