Issue/Introduction

Customer has defined STORAGE POOL 1 for types USER,USER-KEPT,SHARED,SHARED-KEPT.

At a certain point they started to received DC015007 SOS for Pool 1 BUT the relevant XA STORAGE POOL 201 never filled or received any DC015007 messages.

The 24-bit pool 1 should only be used as overflow if the relevant 31-bit pool filled.

Customer runs ADSO and LE COBOL pgms in the online applications

Environment

IDMS - all supported releases

Resolution

Although using the default CEEUOPT in RHDCLEFE will cause most LE stg to be allocated in a 31-bit storage pool due to ALL31=(ON) setting, there are some LE stg allocations that will still default to 24-bit.

OPT00227 will force all of this storage to a 31-bit storage pool.
