Where can I obtain the CA Datacom SQL component of Version 12.0 for z/VSE? The installation guide says "The base-product installation tape contains all the CA Datacom products except CA Datacom SQL, which is on a separate tape."

Where can I obtain the CA Datacom SQL component of Version 12.0 for z/VSE?

The installation guide says "The base-product installation tape contains all the CA Datacom products except CA Datacom SQL, which is on a separate tape."  (Tape is referring to the AWS tape file image).

Answer:

"CA Datacom SQL Option - VSE" is listed as a separate product in the Support.ca.com Download Center Products that needs to be ordered. 

 

When you select version 12.0 for order, you should see two files for download: 

 

DATACOM/DB PROD INFO PACKET 

C4VC00000P0.pdf 

12.0 /0000 04/06/2015 144.14KB 

 

CA Datacom SQL 12.0/0000 DVD 

DVD02091408E 

N/A 02/23/2014 6.03MB 

The "DVD" file DDV02091408E is the installation AWS file for the SQL Option.

This file is input to the SQL option installation job BEINS04A.
