Issue/Introduction

This article clarifies the standard power cable inclusions for SSP hardware appliances and provides policy guidance regarding the procurement of country-specific power solutions.

Resolution

All SSP appliance shipments include a standard C13-to-C14 power cable. This C13-to-C14 cable is the standard configuration included across all regions worldwide.

If a deployment requires a country-specific power cable (e.g., a C13-to-NEMA 5-15 cable for Japan), please note the following policy:

• Broadcom does not sell or provide country-specific power cords.
• It is officially acceptable for customers to source and purchase safety-certified power cables from local third-party retailers (e.g., local electronics stores or online vendors).
   
• The compatibility, physical fit, and performance of any third-party power cable sourced by the customer are not covered under the Broadcom warranty policy.
   

In the event of an RMA or appliance replacement, replacement units (appliances and Field Replaceable Units) are shipped without power cables. Customers are advised to retain the original power cables from the initial appliance for use with any replacement units.
