Issue/Introduction

On NSX UI, the cluster is missing "Prepared" and the "Transport Node Profile", even though the NSX VIBs are showing on the ESXi hosts. 

Cause

The Transport Node Profile isn't set up on the cluster. 

Resolution

  1. From a browser, log in with admin privileges to an NSX Manager at https://<nsx-manager-ip-address> or https://<nsx-manager-fqdn>.
  2. Select System, then Fabric and, then Hosts. 
  3. On the Cluster tab, select which cluster needs to be changed.
  4. Then, click the Configure NSX. 
  5. In the NSX Installation pop-up window, from the Transport Node Profile drop-down menu, select the transport node profile to apply to the cluster. 
    1. If If there isn't a transport node profile to select, click the Create New Transport Node Profile and create a new one. 
  6. Click Apply to begin the process of the transport node profile addition to the hosts in the cluster.
