Cannot Boot To vCenter Login Prompt Using The Default Console

Issue/Introduction

Unable to reach the vCenter site

Logged into the esxi directly and using vcenter VM to bring up console but cannot reach the site

No errors are displayed during boot in the console

Environment

vCenter 8.x

Cause

If the VAMI has the DCUI and the Console CLI deactivated the vCenter VM will seem to hang upon boot before the login prompt is reached

Resolution

1.  Browse to the VAMI

2.  Login

3.  Click on the Administration tab in the left-hand navigation pane.

4.  Locate the Access Settings and click edit

5.  Find the toggles or checkboxes for Console CLI and DCUI

6.  Change both to activated
