Issue/Introduction

How to create EEM policies for WorkloadAutomationAE (AutoSys) ?

Environment

Workload Automation AE-High Availability Option

Resolution

The solution is to use “as_safetool” utility to create WA AE Access Policies by using the following steps :

  1. Login as "autosys" user or "root" user with AutoSys environment set.

  1. Enter the following command:

$ as_safetool < ======

The interactive menu appears.

  1. Type 1 and press the Enter key.

The “Manage Embedded Entitlements Manager server location” sub-menu appears.

  1. Type 1 and press the Enter key.

The system prompts you to enter the host name of the external security server.

  1. Type the server host name and press the Enter key.

The utility prompts you to specify the application instance.

  1. Type 0 (zero) and press the Enter key.

The utility prompts you to provide your credentials.

  1. Type the name of a user with administrative privileges to the specified external security host server and press the Enter key, then type the corresponding password and press the Enter key again.

Note: If the utility prompts you to re-enter credentials, ensure that you are using an accurate and valid username and password combination and attempt to authenticate again. Repeat this action until authentication is successful.

The utility redirects to Manage Embedded Entitlements Manager server location sub-menu.

  1. Type 9 and press the Enter key.

The main menu appears.

  1. Type 3 and press the Enter key.

The Manage instance security sub-menu appears.

  1. Type 1 and press the Enter key.

The utility prompts you to specify the name of a CA Workload Automation AE instance.

  1. Type the name of the instance for which you want to install default security policy and press the Enter key.

The CA Workload Automation AE instance is registered with external security, the WorkloadAutomationAE application instance is created on the external security server and default external security policies are installed.

The provided steps are applied successfully :

CAUAJM_I_60252 Successfully created security policies for instance

CAUAJM_I_60253 1 instance(s) currently registered.

  1. Exit CA WAAE EEM Toolkit Safetool Utility.
