In the DX NetOps Portal, devices synchronized from Spectrum show an "Unknown" or blank "Alarm Status" in the Inventory or Context reports.
This issue typically occurs on specific landscapes while others show correct status.
Symptoms
catalina.out log in $SPECROOT/tomcat/logs shows NO_USER exceptions at the time of a subscription rebuild or resync:WARN com.aprisma.errorlog - Error reading attributes for models in domain <Domain_ID> :
exception com.aprisma.spectrum.core.idl.CsCException.CsCSpectrumException {com.aprisma.spectrum.core.idl.CsCError.CsCError_e error=NO_USER...
java.lang.String textString="<LandscapeName>" ...
java.lang.String textString="(unknown_user)"
localhost_access_log confirms the Portal authenticates its REST calls using a specific integration user, the same user specified in the Portal Spectrum Data Source configuration. The integration user defined in the DX NetOps Portal Spectrum Data Source does not exist as a valid user model on the specific SpectroSERVER landscape where the devices are located.
Consequently, OneClick fails to retrieve alarm attributes from that landscape due to a NO_USER error.
Cause confirmation:
To resolve this we need to add the Portal Spectrum DS defined user utilized in the integration to the problem landscape. We'll use the users Landscapes tab options to add the user to the landscape. Once completed launch a Full Synchronization of the Portal Spectrum Data Source. Once completed confirm all devices synchronized through the problem landscape now show the correct Alarm Status in the Portal web UI.
