Issue/Introduction

The Jobs tab within a Jobstream may show no jobs available. This occurs despite the target job having valid upstream predecessors that should be automatically detected and included in the jobstream hierarchy.

Environment

AAI 24.4.0 and earlier 

Cause

This issue was caused by a defect in the jobstream building logic where target jobs were being incorrectly auto-trimmed during the hierarchy generation process. When multiple jobstreams referenced the same target, the trimming logic failed to correctly associate and display the upstream job runs, resulting in an empty Jobs view.

Resolution

his issue is resolved in Automation Analytics & Intelligence version 24.4.1.

To resolve the issue, follow these steps:

1. Upgrade: Apply Service Pack 24.4.1 or a later cumulative release to your AAI environment.
2. Recreate Jobstreams:
   • Delete the jobstreams that are currently showing no jobs.
   • Re-add the jobstreams using the same target job.
   • Note: Recreating the jobstreams is necessary to trigger a fresh rebuild of the hierarchy using the corrected logic.
3. Verification: Navigate to the Jobs tab for the new jobstreams to verify that the upstream job hierarchy is now correctly populated.
