Issue/Introduction

OS Installation Manager (OSIM) allows administrators to define parameters, such as domain names, host names or product IDs, utilized during operating system installation on target computers.

Because some of these values contain sensitive information, it is desirable to have an option that enables users to mark individual parameters as "masked" to prevent unauthorized on-screen exposure.

The intent is that when a parameter is marked as masked, its value is replaced with a placeholder string (e.g., "xxxxx") in dialog boxes and job logs. The actual value remains preserved internally and is processed normally during OS installation - the masking only affects the DSM Explorer UI.

ITCM Engineering has developed a fix to provide this enhancement feature in Client Automation 14.6.

Enhancement will be included in the upcoming CA Client Automation 14.7 release, tentatively scheduled to be released in November 2026 (subject to change)
