Issue/Introduction

Question:

How can one start TSO if the TSO userid has been accidentally deleted from the ACF2 database and the systems are re-ipled?

Answer:

If the TSO started task ID was accidentally deleted from the ACF2 database, and the system was re-ipled, TSO sub system will still start IF:

- You have defined a default started task userid (ACFSTCID) in the ACF2 database with the STC flag. ACF2 will assign the default STC ID to start TSO.

However, some sites choose not to have the default ACF2 started task userid active.

In that case you could attempt to start TSO by switching the ACF2 databases at IPL time to the ACF2 Alternate databases. One would presume that the TSO userid is still available in the Alternate databases.
