Issue/Introduction

In VCF Operations 9.x, the same vCenter Server may appear twice under the same workload domain on the Operate > Administration > Integrations > VMware Cloud Foundation page. This typically occurs when both a vCenter data adapter and a vSAN data adapter are active for the same environment.

• The vCenter FQDN is listed twice under the workload domain integrations.
• The two entries appear identical in the default view.
• User is unsure if the second entry is a misconfiguration or a duplicate that can be safely removed.

Environment

• VCF Operations 9.x
• Aria Operations 8.18.x

Cause

One adapter is responsible for collecting vCenter data, while the other is automatically enabled for vSAN data collection. In many views, the names appear identical because the "vSAN" suffix is hidden by the column width.

Resolution

To verify and resolve the duplicate entries, follow these steps:

1. Log in to the VCF Operations UI.
2. Navigate to Operate > Administration > Integrations.
3. Expand the VMware Cloud Foundation group, the VCF instance, and the affected workload domain.
4. Resize the Name column to view the full text. Verify if the second adapter has VSAN at the end of the name.
5. If the environment does not use vSAN, you can safely delete the vSAN adapter:
   • Select the VSAN adapter.
   • Click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) menu and select Delete.
