Issue/Introduction

Users or administrators may need to verify exactly which probe, profile, or Quality of Service (QoS) metric is being represented by a specific status or data column within a Dashboard Designer List Widget, for example, when troubleshooting unexpected status values, or when the dashboard itself is not clear about what is monitored.

Environment

DX Unified Infrastructure Manager - Operator Console - Dashboard Designer (until 23.4.5) / UIM Business Intelligence (from 23.4.6)
20.4.x, 23.4.x

Resolution

  1. Open the Dashboard: Navigate to the Operator Console and open the specific dashboard in Dashboard Designer mode.
  2. Locate the Widget: Identify the List Widget you wish to inspect.
  3. Launch the Wizard:
    • Select the widget to highlight it.
    • Click the "Wizard" icon (represented by a magic wand) located in the upper right corner of the widget.
  4. Inspect Data Sources:
    • The Wizard interface will display the columns associated with the widget.  Click on the column you need to verify.
    • Review the QoS Metric column to see the specific metric name (e.g., QOS_J2EE_STATE, QOS_URL_RESPONSE).
    • Review the Target or Source fields to identify which probe and profile are providing the data.
