Symantec VIP Manager administrator permissions missing from reseller sub-accounts

Issue/Introduction

The POLICIES or other tabs are missing from VIP Manager reseller child tenants, despite an administrator of the sub-account being a member of the Super Administrator group. 

Cause

This affects VIP Manager 'reseller' tenants only. Sub-accounts are structured to be created from the parent tenant. If the owner of the parent tenant sets permission limitations, sub-accounts will inherit those, and certain individual or group permissions will not be visible. This is manifested through certain tabs missing from a VIP Manager sub-account. 

Resolution

The available permissions for individual administrator and administrator groups can be viewed by logging into the child account. A missing permission indicates the administrator of the parent account has implemented this limitation. This is working as intended. VIP Manager sub-accounts should contact their parent VIP account administrator if they have questions about this.
