Title: vSphere Replication Management Server "Certificate expiring soon" alarm in UI

Issue/Introduction

The vSphere Replication (VR) UI continues to display a "vSphere Replication Management Server certificate expire soon" alarm. This occurs even when administrators have confirmed the certificates are valid or have recently replaced them.

Environment

• VMware vSphere Replication 8.x / 9.x
• VMware vCenter Server 7.x / 8.x

Cause

The alarm state within the vSphere inventory becomes stale. The internal alarm engine may fail to automatically reconcile the state after underlying certificate stores are updated or verified. This is often a residual false positive reflecting the previous state of the environment.

Resolution

Resolution: To resolve this issue, manually reset the alarm state in the vSphere Client:

1. Log in to the vSphere Client with administrator privileges.
2. Navigate to the vCenter Server object in the inventory.
3. Click the Monitor tab and select Issues and Alarms > Triggered Alarms.
4. Locate the "vSphere Replication Management Server certificate expire soon" or related certificate alarm.
5. Select the alarm and click Acknowledge.
6. Click Reset to Green.
