Issue/Introduction

• Upgrading ESXi from 8.0 to 9.1 fails with following error on SDDC:
  
• The NSX configuration status on one of the target ESXi hosts reflects a "Partial Success" state.
• Concurrently, the following error is reported on the ESXi host undergoing the upgrade:
• The NSX VIBs on the ESXi host indicate they have successfully updated to version 9.1.

Resolution

To work around this issue, you can resolve the issue by initiating the configure NSX workflow from NSX UI.

Use the following steps to initiate the workflow:

• Go to System > Fabric > Hosts.
• Choose the affected host from the list.
• Click the configuration prompt at the top of the page to start the workflow.

If the steps outlined above do not resolve the issue, kindly collect the NSX support bundle and open a case with Broadcom Technical Support.
