NSX Segment Networking (Classic) Option Missing in vSphere Client UI during Supervisor Deployment in VCF 9.1

Issue/Introduction

When attempting a fresh deployment of a vSphere Supervisor in a VCF 9.1 environment, the option for NSX Segment Networking (Classic) is missing from the vSphere Client UI. Only the VDS and NSX-VPC options are displayed.

vSphere Kubernetes Service with VCF 9.1

Cause

Starting with VCF 9.1, the vSphere Client UI no longer supports fresh deployments of a Supervisor using the classic NSX Segment Networking (Tier-0/Tier-1 topology).

Resolution

While the option has been removed from the vSphere Client UI, deploying a Supervisor with NSX Classic mode is only possible via the API.
