Spectrum Huawei WLC Manager Controller and APs deleted after parameter change

Issue/Introduction

After modifying configuration parameters within the WLC Manager, the Huawei Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) and all associated Access Points (APs) are unexpectedly deleted from the Spectrum landscape. Users typically observe a high volume of 0x10202 (Model Destroyed) events in OneClick before the devices disappear.

 

This occurs when the following parameters are both set to YES:
    1    Move Access Points along the WLC
    2    Enable Access Points Auto Deletion

 

Symptoms

• Issue is only seen with Huawei WLC Manager
• The WLC Controller model is destroyed/deleted automatically.
• Associated Access Points are removed from the Spectrum topology.
• OneClick Event Log shows multiple 0x10202 events.
• Issue occurs approximately two minutes after applying parameter changes.

Cause

A software defect (DE203699) exists where enabling certain auto-deletion and migration flags accidentally triggers the deletion logic for the Controller model itself instead of just unmanaged Access Points.

Resolution

This issue is confirmed as a defect. It is targeted to be fixed in release 25.4.10 and can be tracked under DE203699 in issues resolved.
