Installation of Symantec Protection for SharePoint Servers (SPSS) 6.1 fails immediately after clicking the install button. The following error message is displayed:

On enabling DebugView log as per How to Collect debug logs using Debugview on Protection for SharePoint Server and attempting to install SPSS, below error is seen:
This issue occurs due to changes in the SharePoint Config DB Connection string introduced by the Microsoft SharePoint security patch KB5002786 (October 2025 Patch onwards). These changes prevent the installer from correctly identifying the SPSS database name.
