Notification format discrepancy after upgrading to Log Management 9.1

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading to Log Management 9.1.x, you may observe a distinct variance in the format of outbound email and webhook alert notifications compared to VCF Logs 9.0.x.

Specifically:

• Alert notifications no longer include raw log snippets or detailed error messages.
• The payload/message body provides only generic alert metadata rather than actionable event context.
  

Environment

• VCF Operations (Log Management) 9.1.x

Cause

There was a change in the alert payload rendering engine introduced in version 9.1.x, which omits raw log samples from the default notification template.

Resolution

Product team is aware of this behavior and is actively working to add detailed log payload details within notification templates.

Alert notification enhancement is expected to be delivered in a future release of Log Management 9.x.
