Workload Virtual Machines running Photon OS cannot be manually selected for migration in the HCX Manager UI

Issue/Introduction

• The Virtual Machine (VM) being selected for migration in a New Mobility Group in HCX Manager UI shows under the "non-selectable workloads". 

• Expanding the VM displays the error: Cannot migrate workload. reason Photon OS.


• The issue persists even when the VM is not a management appliance (e.g., vCenter, NSX Manager, or HCX Manager).

Environment

VMware HCX 9.#

Cause

• The current implementation of HCX does not support the migration of Photon OS based VMs.
